With porosity occurring naturally during the manufacture of metal and composite materials, there is a possibility of product failure based upon an inability to retain gas or fluids under pressure. Sealing the porosity through vacuum impregnation insures that the part will sustain pressure.
MIS, along with its affiliates, provides high quality vacuum impregnation services utilizing state of the art equipment and resins. During the process, parts are handled and packaged to insure that damage does not occur to any of the machined surfaces.
Depending upon process requirements, vacuum impregnation equipment ranges from 24 inch to 48 inch systems. For high volume and dedicated processing, completely automated systems can be provided.
